The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have agreed to terms with defenseman Viktor Svedberg on a one-year contract, which runs through the end of the 2015-16 National Hockey League season.

Mac Carruth of the Indy Fuel is the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January. Carruth went 7-2-0 with two shutouts, a 1.45 goals-against average and a save percentage of .951 in 10 appearances during the month.

Mac Carruth of the Indy Fuel is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 19-25. Carruth went 3-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.67 goals-against average and a save percentage of .974 last week, helping the Fuel extend their unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1).
