Brian Elliott was born on April 9, 1985 in Newmarket, Ontario. He currently plays goaltender for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. Nicknamed “Moose,” Brian was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round, 291st overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. A two-time NHL All-Star in 2012 and 2015, Elliott has also played for the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers. Brian signed a 2 Year Contract with the Flyers on July 1, 2017 after spending the previous season with the Calgary Flames. Elliott re-upped with the Flyers in October 2020 by signing a one-year contract worth $1.5 million. Brian signed a one year contract on July 28, 2021 with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
