Dominic Turgeon was born on February 25, 1996 in Quebec, Canada and currently plays forward for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Dom had a stellar youth hockey career with the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA program and was selected in the third round, 64th overall by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. Dom compiled 152 points in 259 WHL regular season games over five seasons, served as the Winterhawks captain during the 2015-16 season, and won a WHL Championship in 2013. He has also represented Team USA at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and U17 World Hockey Championships where he won a silver medal. Dom was selected in the 3rd round, 63rd Overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut on January 14th, 2018 in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Dom has played in 275 AHL regular season games and won a Calder Cup with the Griffins in 2017.
