Fred Knipscheer was born September 3rd, 1969 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and is a retired National Hockey League centerman. Fred signed a his first professional contract with the Boston Bruins after his NCAA All-American junior year at St. Cloud State in 1993. Fred went on to play seven years of professional hockey in the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues organizations from 1993-2000.

What was the most memorable moment of your hockey career?

Scoring game winning goal in game 7, first round of the playoffs my rookie season with Boston against Patrick Roy and the Canadians. Assist from Cam Stewart.

 

What advice would you give to future professional hockey players?

Enjoy ever second, It goes by fast.

 

What are you doing now since retiring from professional hockey?

I own a couple restaurants. I’m also a founder of a CBD company called Simplinano CBD. I coach youth hockey.
