Steven Oleksy was born on February 4, 1986 in Chesterfield, Michigan. Steven plays defense for the Anaheim Ducks, having signed a new 2 Year contract on July 1, 2017 after splitting the 2016-17 Season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins organizations. Steve began his career in both the ECHL and the AHL before signing his first NHL contract as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Capitals on March 4, 2013. In his National Hockey League debut on March 5, 2013, he registered his first career point, an assist, against the Boston Bruins. On July 1, 2015, Steve signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins, helping the team win a Stanley Cup in the 2015-16 season. Recently, Steve was traded back to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he will spend the remainder of the 2018-19 season
