Steven Halko was born on March 8, 1974 in Caledon, Ontario and is a retired National Hockey League defenseman. Halko played four seasons at the University of Michigan where he registered 65 points in 162 career games and served as the team’s captain during the 1995-96 NCAA Championship season. Halko then went on to play seven professional seasons, including 155 NHL Regular Season games, all with the Carolina Hurricanes.

What are you doing now since retiring from professional hockey?
Raised a family, growing and developing my Wealth Management practice at Merrill Lynch (18th year since playing hockey), and having fun Curling——only time I step on the ice now.
