I first met Kevin in 2004 and I am proud to say I am his oldest client. Kevin has assisted me through many stages in my hockey career but one in particular was especially important as to where my career stands today: the 2007 NHL Draft.
I was the 88th ranked player by Central Scouting going into the u18 World Championships before the 2007 Draft. The NTDP team that I played for had a very successful u18 tournament, and individually I was recognized as one of the top Defensemen. But because the final CS rankings had already come out before the u18s, I had not been ranked high enough to be invited to the NHL Draft Combine.
Instead of just accepting this situation, Kevin coordinated private workouts and interviews with 24 of the 30 NHL teams so they could get to know me better prior to the Draft.
Needless to say, due to all of the work that was done by us prior to the Draft, I went from being a potential 3rd or 4th round Draft pick, to eventually being selected 18th overall in the 1st round by the St. Louis Blues. It was a very special day for me and my family and one that helped shape my career as a NHL defenseman.
